We're thrilled the Gozo Film Festival's eight edition! Just like the previous successful editions, this year's festival will run for three days, from Friday 22nd August to Sunday, 24th August 2025. A three-day event that aims to promote both local (Gozitan and Maltese) and foreign filmmakers, as well as to entertain and educate adults and childrend alik.

The festival will take place at the beautiful bastions of the Gozo Citadel, right in the heart of the island's capital. We'll have indoor and outdoor events, combining top-quality local and international shorts and feature films with a connection to the islands. Plus, there will be workshops for kids, teens and adults.

The Gozo Film Festival is sponsored by the Cultural Heritage Directorate within the Ministry for Gozo. This sponsorship highlights our commitment to celebrating and preserving cultural diversity through the medium of cinema.
